When we first arrived, the suite had suffered significant wear and tear from previous use. One of the biggest challenges was addressing persistent odours and damage throughout the space while carefully prioritizing repairs to make the most of the available budget. The homeowners wanted to improve the layout, increase functionality, and create a brighter, more modern living environment without replacing materials unnecessarily.

Because budget was a major consideration, we worked closely with the homeowners to identify where their investment would have the greatest impact. Existing cabinetry was evaluated, salvaged where possible, and reconfigured to create a more practical kitchen layout. Rather than replacing everything, we focused on improving the functionality and appearance of the space while keeping costs under control.

The renovation included updates to the front entrance, stairway, hallway, bathroom, kitchen area, and main living space of the bachelor-style carriage home. New luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout to provide a durable, low-maintenance surface ideal for a rental property. The bathroom received a new shower and essential updates, while fresh paint and trim helped brighten the entire suite and create a clean, cohesive look.
